Welcome to HindPDF (“we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”) and HindPDF, operated under the parent brand HK Vision from Odisha, India, governing your access to and use of our website located at hindpdf.com and associated online document processing utilities.
By accessing or using HindPDF, uploading documents, registering an account, or purchasing paid digital access passes, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or possess valid legal guardian consent) and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Description of Services & Processing Architecture
HindPDF provides an online software-as-a-service (SaaS) utility designed for PDF and digital document manipulation, including format conversions, compression, page organization, and optical character recognition (OCR).
- Client-Side Utilities: Lightweight tasks (such as local merging, splitting, reordering, local signing, and password protection) operate directly within your browser's local sandbox memory using client-side JavaScript. Files processed through local tools never leave your device.
- Server-Side Utilities: Specialized or heavy conversions (including PDF compression, Word-to-PDF, Excel-to-PDF, PDF-to-Word, PDF-to-Excel, and OCR) utilize encrypted HTTPS connections to temporary server sandboxes on our secure cloud infrastructure.
We reserve the right to modify, upgrade, optimize, or temporarily suspend any tool or feature for scheduled maintenance without prior liability.
2. 100% User Content Ownership & Intellectual Property
You retain full, exclusive ownership and copyright of your uploaded files:
- HindPDF claims zero copyright, title, ownership, or intellectual property rights over the documents you upload or the converted output files generated from them.
- You grant HindPDF only the narrow, non-exclusive, automated technical license strictly required to receive, buffer, convert, and temporarily deliver your file for download.
- In accordance with our verified document retention lifecycle, files are permanently deleted immediately after processing/download and are never permanently stored, indexed, shared, or used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
3. Acceptable Use Policy & User Due Diligence
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Rule 3 of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you agree that you will NOT upload, transmit, or process any document or content that:
- Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other proprietary rights of any third party without lawful authorization;
- Contains computer viruses, malicious payloads, corrupted archives, Trojan horses, or automated scraping scripts designed to interrupt or damage server infrastructure;
- Is grossly harmful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, invasive of another's privacy, or racially/ethnically objectionable;
- Threatens the unity, integrity, defense, security, or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states, or public order;
- Attempts to bypass or tamper with processing quotas, rate limits, authentication tokens, or payment verification endpoints.
HindPDF operates as a neutral technological intermediary and reserves the right to immediately terminate access or block IP addresses found abusing platform infrastructure.
4. User Accounts & Authentication
You may use select tools anonymously within daily free usage thresholds or create an authenticated account via Email/Password or Google Sign-In (managed securely via Google Firebase Authentication). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities conducted under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized access.
5. Paid Plans, Pricing & Billing Terms
HindPDF operates on a transparent freemium monetization model:
- Free Tier (โน0): Access to standard tools within daily operation quotas (5 successful processing operations per day during testing), resetting daily at midnight IST.
- Day Pass (โน19): Fixed one-time digital pass granting 24 hours of full platform access from the timestamp of payment confirmation.
- Monthly Plan (โน99): 30 days of high-volume document conversions, priority conversion queues, and extended processing quotas.
- Yearly Plan (โน799): 365 days of complete premium access for long-term document workflows.
All financial transactions are processed securely through certified payment gateways operated by Razorpay. Detailed terms governing plan access, billing cycles, cancellations, and refunds are set forth in our dedicated Cancellation & Refund Policy.
6. Fair Usage, Quotas & Rate Limits
To preserve server performance and ensure equitable access for all users, HindPDF enforces automated concurrency and quota rate limits on both client-side and server-assisted tools. Excessive automated polling, script-driven batch uploads, or deliberate attempts to circumvent daily limits may result in temporary IP-level throttling.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties (“As-Is”)
HindPDF is provided on an “AS-IS” and “AS-AVAILABLE” basis during our active testing and operational phase. While we utilize industry-standard conversion engines (such as LibreOffice, Ghostscript, and OCR models), we cannot guarantee that:
- Every uploaded file will convert with 100% layout fidelity, exact font substitution, or identical pagination;
- Password-protected, encrypted, or severely corrupted documents will be converted (unsupported files will return descriptive error notifications);
- The platform will be entirely uninterrupted, error-free, or immune to temporary cloud latency during upstream network maintenance.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, HindPDF, its parent brand HK Vision, its operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of your use or inability to use the platform.
In all circumstances, our maximum aggregate liability to you for any verified claims arising from our services shall be strictly limited to the actual amount paid by you to HindPDF during the thirty (30) days preceding the incident, or โน500 (Indian Rupees Five Hundred), whichever is lower.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HindPDF, HK Vision, and its operators from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or legal expenses resulting from your violation of these Terms, unauthorized use of third-party copyrighted documents, or breach of applicable laws.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by, construed, and enforced exclusively in accordance with the substantive laws of the Republic of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Odisha, India.
